The WM Stone Legacy

W.M. Stone continues the legacy of Stuart's Great Grandfather, William Meade Stone, who received Norfolk's first customs brokers license in 1907. We are pleased to continue the values of our forefathers who helped to solidify the Ports of Virginia nationally for importers and exporters. W.M. Stone maintains their exceptional lineage by only employing the most experienced supply chain professionals in the industry. Our knowledgeable team comes with years of history working for cargo owners, ocean shipping lines, truckers, warehouse 3PLs, and some of the largest customs brokerage firms in the country. Our people are our greatest asset and the reason we are sought after.

As a fourth-generation Customs Broker, Stuart has spent over 20 years helping importers and exporters successfully move their freight. Having grown-up in the business, Stuart has seen a complete transformation of international logistics over the years. He uses this experience in conjunction with macroeconomic forecasting to help WM Stone's customers navigate the extremely complex landscape of logistics in a post-COVID world. Stuart earned his BA in Economics from Hampden-Sydney College and is proudly recognized as an Eagle Scout.

Bryan Bellamy

Nearing 20 years in his field, Bryan has a depth of experience ranging from the Customs House Brokerage perspective and that of the Beneficial Cargo Owner (BCO). He began his career in logistics with one of the largest 3PLs in the industry. He has also served as in-house customs council for several importers, including the largest German auto manufacturer (operating within a Foreign Trade Zone ‘FTZ’), a well-known flooring manufacturer, and a popular mobile device protection company. He integrates those skills accumulated while working with these and other BCOs on their import programs to help leverage ways for his brokerage firm to think outside the box and offer unique solutions while maintaining compliance under ever-changing regulations. Bryan earned his BA from Clemson University, his MBA from the University of South Carolina, and has been licensed by U.S. Customs & Border Protection since 2007. Bryan serves as the qualifier for WMS' customs brokerage operations.
